Prof.ssa Annamaria Colao

Full Professor of Endocrinology at the Department of Clinical Medicine Surgery, University Federico II of Naples. Coordinator of national and international research projects with a scientific activity characterized by the publication of more than 800 original articles in international journals (Hirsch Index 112). She has published over one hundred treatises, manuals, chapters of books and monographs. She is at the peak of the Top Italian scientists list and is Italian Top Woman scientist. Head of the European Network ENDO-ERN (European Reference Network) for the study of rare endocrine pathologies in adult of which she is the coordinator of the regional center at the Azienda Universitaria Federico II where she is also responsible for the European center of excellence ENETS (for the study of neuroendocrine tumours) of the centre of excellence for the diagnosis and treatment of obesity CIBO (accredited with SIO and EASO).
She was president of the National Council of the Guarantors of Scientific Research at the Ministry for University and Research.
President of the European Society of Neuroendocrinology for the biennium 2016-2018 and President elected of the Italian Society Endocrinology for the biennium 2021-2023 (first woman in the history of the Society).
Founder and President of Campus Salute Onlus (www.campussalute.it), non-profit association dedicated to health.

Prof. Matteo Lorito

Full Professor of Plant Pathology and Phytopathological Biotechnology, Director of the Department of Agriculture of the University of Naples Federico II. He is co-founder of 3 spin-offs/startups: Phytobials, Biomarinex and RE&DIT. He has developed or helped to develop about 10 formulations currently available on the global market (90 countries) applied as biopesticides and biofertlizers in collaboration with several multinationals. He is the inventor of about 15 international patents.

Doctor, Cardiologist, at Sarno Hospital– ASL Salerno, and associate researcher at the Institute of Complex Systems of CNR– Rome, in 2004 published in the prestigious magazine “The Lancet” the famous article: “The Triangle of Death” leading to the scientific and social spotlight the serious waste crisis in Campania and the correlation between environmental pollution by ecomafia and cancer.
He is the author or co-author of other studies and publications in international scientific journals and partecipeted as speaker at numerous conferences on the subject of Environmental Pollution and Health. He has also been a promoter of innovative proposals and projects for territories and institutions.
